Poem-a-day - April 6

Todays' challenge is to write an "Ekphrastic" poem - - a poem written in response to a work of visual art. This is a painting I did in a class this winter:

I want to crawl
inside your blue skin,
find that calm
deep lake within.
Shut out distraction,
find my own colors.
Take up the whole space.
Just to know,
without words,
what I want
who I am..
