another portrait


this one from a photo in the Detroit Free Press. I just enjoy practicing by doing these drawings from photos. Sometimes I am happy with how they come out -- and other times not. The skin tones in this one are not as good as some of my others -- and I don't have enough subtlety in her eyes. I'm always open to helpful criticism!!

Penny, this is great! The hair color and skin look so good. Even the teeth are good and they are not easy to do.

Hi Penny!

I am trying to learn to do portraits too...not professionally, just for myself.
I find myself running out of room with the chin...and read an article saying beginners usually make noses too long and then this is what happens!(Of course after Picasso's cubist portraits who cares?)
