Seagull

I have been looking at and doing some of the exercise in Lee Hammond's colored pencil book "Birds". Now if I could only do this on my own when I really see an actual seagul!!

Penny, this seagull is just gorgeous! I love it. Looks like you captured it walking down the beach.

Penny, this is a great drawing! The biggest thing to overcome when drawing the actual thing (at least for me) is a sort of fear that I won't get it right. Just go do it and you'll surprise yourself. Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog. The self portrait you commented on is a pencil drawing that I "enhanced" a little in photoshop.

Penny, what a lovely pic. When you do the next one from life I bet your hand will remember some of the moves. Right?
